Rochester Community Schools

Tom has been a Career and Technical Education teacher for 25 years in the Rochester Community Schools district. Over the years, he has taught a variety of courses, including Accounting, Small Business Management, Business Law, Web Design, and Virtual Enterprise. In addition he has served as an Advisor for Business Professionals of America for 23 years. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University and later obtained his master’s in Education from Wayne State University.

Beyond the classroom, Tom enjoys spending time with his wife, an elementary school teacher, and their four daughters, ages 20, 18, 16, and 7. His passion for education and real-world skill-building continues to inspire his students to explore careers in business and technology.

Michael is a CFO turned entrepreneur, with a passion for helping teachers inspire the next generation of businesspeople. As the Co-founder of BusinessU, and now the SVP, K12 of Stukent CTE, Michael has worked with thousands of high school business teachers around the country in an effort to develop the most engaging, robust high school business curriculum platform available. With a background in finance/accounting, Michael has a particular interest in enhancing how the “language of business” is introduced to high school students around the country.
