About This Assignment
In this assignment, students will explore the journey of the brand Barbie®*, analyzing its rise, fall, and resurgence in reputation. They will examine Barbie’s PR strategies and their evolution under new leadership, extracting key lessons for other brands. Students will then step into the role of a Senior PR Specialist at Glamorina (a fictitious company) and create a one-year PR plan for the launch of Glamorina Dream Land, an amusement park attraction. They will learn to build anticipation, engage the community, establish media relationships, form partnerships, and plan captivating events, aligning with Glamorina’s values. This assignment provides a practical opportunity to apply PR principles in a real-world context.
