About the Author
Dr. Shelley Wigley
Dr. Shelley Wigley is an associate professor of communication at the University of Texas at Arlington, where she teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in crisis communication, persuasion, and public relations. With over a decade of industry experience in media training, media relations, and crisis preparedness, she brings a practical lens to every classroom. A former newspaper and broadcast journalist, Shelley’s research centers on crisis communication, media strategy, and the evolving role of social media. She is the author or coauthor of 23 peer-reviewed journal articles and three book chapters.
