Julie Gathercole is an assistant professor at Mount Royal University’s Bissett School of Business, where she draws on her background in marketing and strategic communication to create engaging, real-world learning experiences for students. Before teaching, Julie spent over 15 years in leadership roles with organizations like TD Bank, TransAlta, Molson Coors, and the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. A lifelong writer, she’s crafted content for CEOs and global events — and still enjoys writing family holiday letters. She holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Mount Saint Vincent University and an MBA from Royal Roads University. Julie lives in Calgary, Alberta, where she volunteers, explores the Rockies, and rescues senior dogs.
